Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at santino@giganteconcrete.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Most residential projects take between 3 to 5 days from the initial excavation and sub-base preparation to the final pour and finish. Factors like weather and the complexity of the design (such as custom stamps or borders) can shift this timeline slightly.

For a standard passenger vehicle, we recommend a minimum thickness of 5 inches. However, if you plan on parking heavy equipment, trailers, or large trucks, we typically engineer a 6 inch reinforced slab to ensure long-term structural integrity.

While concrete feels hard quickly, it takes time to reach its full design strength. We generally recommend:

  • 24 to 48 hours: Safe for foot traffic and pets.
  • 28 days: Fully cured and safe for standard passenger vehicles.

  • Broom Finish: The classic choice. A slip-resistant, clean, and cost-effective texture.
  • Exposed Aggregate: A decorative finish that reveals the natural stones within the concrete. It is highly durable and hides wear and tear exceptionally well.
  • Stamped Concrete: Concrete textured to mimic high-end materials like slate, brick, or cobblestone, offering premium curb appeal. to this item.

Concrete is incredibly strong under "compression" (pushing down) but needs help with "tension" (stretching/pulling). By adding reinforcement, we significantly reduce the risk of structural cracking and ensure the slabs stay level over years of seasonal temperature changes.
